Miles' Journal

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles ate two servings of toasted raisin/cinnamon English muffin and ate his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate no chicken, ate some whole wheat elbow noodles, a few green beans, and ate his mandarin oranges. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and Miles is thrilled that the Airplanes are "finally" out. He's been asking about them for a few weeks. In the second picture he was pushing the "GO" button on the battery powered Police Car and saying, "Go Sucker!" Lauralea accused me of having too much influence on the children's speech!! Haha. You're welcome.  Next picture; Svea was still eating/finishing her breakfast when Miles brought over an activity from this toy exchange. He likes the battery-powered drill and knows how to put the bolts in and reverse them out. Following picture: This was pretty funny: Avi thought she was gonna "teach" Miles how to play "Crazy Eights." That was a pretty short-lived activity. Hah...

Miles ate half of his toasted raisin/cinnamon English muffin and ate mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch he ate most of his ground beef, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, bites of peas, and ate his applesauce. Lauralea had to go to Ronan early this morning, before breakfast, and this was the crew waiting to wave bye to her. I think Miles is actually looking at her this time instead of having laser focus on the garage door opening and closing. Haha. Next picture: This one is left over from yesterday afternoon so I guess these got out of order. The boys were having fun doing "Ring Around the Rosy" and of course the funnest part is; "They all fall down!!" Haha. Following picture: Avi was making more airplanes for the boys this morning. We've made a few airplanes around here this summer!! Last picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. Miles ate two servings of French toast and strawberries mixed together for breakfast. For lunch he ate two bites of his Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, and sweet potatoes. He ate saltines, and ate mangoes with pineapple added. This first picture of Miles is from yesterday afternoon. He's wearing the shorts on his head - which he does frequently - and somehow that gives him some attitude!! He said, "I'm the bad guy!!" Haha. Just an added thought here: You might be a Redneck if you think wearing shorts on your head makes you a bad Dude. Hey, it's just a thought. Hahaha. Yes I know, I'm not as funny as I think I am!! :) (Some day, years down the road, you'll read these and think: "Man that Gary was one funny sucker!!") Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. (He was playing with his truck and one of my tractors.) He likes to be alone and just regroup before starting his day. Side Note: This might be good info...

For lunch he ate two large servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of two large servings of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate green beans, and fruit salad. These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon. I just like how Avi was reading to Miles; he loved it and it gave her good practice for reading as well. He totally loves Avi and the feeling is mutual. She watches the monitor and waits for him to wake up from his nap. And she's always giving me false alarms about "Miles is Awake!! Miles is Awake!!" Second picture: Lauralea watched the kids for a few minutes while I got Tate set up to mow the lawn. The kids thought it was funny because she was using her hair for their mustaches.
