Miles - 7/2/2020

I fed Miles bites of waffle and fruit salad for breakfast.  At 10:30 he drank one ounce of milk and at lunch he ate squash, infant cereal, and 3 ounces of milk.

These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon.  Both boys had just woken from their naps and still had on their sleep pajamas.  Callahan went to the top shelf again to hang out.  I think it's so funny when they find a place they really like and they go back to it over and over.  Cal still had his pacifier in his mouth and that's the main attraction here!!  :)  Second picture: Callahan was pushing the dump trucks up and down the sidewalk and I was teaching him to steer around obstacles; primarily Miles!!  Cal is in the very early stages of learning that skill I might add!  :)

Next picture; ok, did I just mention something about going back to the same spot every day!?!  I put Miles on the floor first thing this morning and he immediately went trucking right back to this spot. It's so interesting how most kids go through the same stages.  This age is notorious for hanging out in an entry-way!!  Over the many years of doing child care - guess where the favorite place outside for this age group!?!?  Yup, you guessed right!!  (haha)  Right at the bottom of the slide!!  Silly kids!!  Last picture: What are you doing in there Callahan!!  Lauralea came out to the Daycare 2 times this morning to say "hi" to the kids.  Both times Callahan made sure Lauralea went to the other side of the room to say "hi" to Miles too.  Isn't that sweet!?

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles - 08/24/2022

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well.
