Miles - 01/27/2021

Miles ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate chicken, no brown rice, taste of broccoli, and ate pineapple.  

The kids were all heading in to get ready for breakfast and Svea said, "Gary!!  I just saw Miles walking!!" Haha!  That always just cracks me up!!  I've heard this exact statement SO MANY TIMES over the years of Child Care.  Just like today, it can be weeks and even months and a child will act like it's the first time they've actually seen a younger one walking.  And maybe it is the first time they've "really" seen it!!

First picture:  I'd just washed up the boys after breakfast and I turned around to get Miles out of his highchair and this is what I saw.  Haha.  Silly Cal.  And Miles is leaning in to get a love.  So sweet!  Second picture;  Cal and Miles were at the window watching a garbage truck.  That big window always provides the kids lots of opportunities for watching everything happening on that side of the house.  

Next picture;  This made me laugh.  Miles was looking through the binoculars first and so Cal grabbed some too.  Initially Miles had his pointed to the ceiling so Cal pointed his at the ceiling.  Nope, I don't see anything up there!!  :)  Then they starting pointing them at the mirror and that was the perfect opportunity for me to get a picture.  Last picture;  Miles was sitting on the couch reading a book and Nora came and sat by him.  Then she leaned over and put her head on the arm of the couch and Miles took advantage of that! Nora is such an AWESOME Sister!!  Good job sweet Nora.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
