Miles - 01/04/2021

Miles ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch he ate pulled pork, half of whole wheat toast, ate peas, and strawberries/mangoes mix.   

First picture:  Miles was starting his daily routine of clearing the top shelf of blocks before Daddy even left.  Haha.  He's wasting no time!! "I've got work to do!!"  Second picture: I was trying to get Miles to wave at ME.  (I was wanting a picture.) I said, "Miles, wave at Gary."  He'd immediately start looking around to see who was there to wave at!!  After the second try, he headed for the window and started waving.  He totally understood the word "wave," but no one to wave at!!  Haha. He's waving with his right hand.

Next picture: This was shortly after Svea arrived and she'd been unzipping her jacket to show me her dress. Miles was like "hey, I like zippers!!"  Following picture: Lauralea was preparing to leave heading to Superior and then Plains. Everyone was waving and Nora was voicing concern about losing her spot at the end. They're not very evenly spread out; 4 on the right bench, 2 on the left bench.  

Last picture: I really like this picture because it's a great example of how these two boys frequently play near each other, but not with the same toys.  Miles was playing with the food toys and now he is just passing by on his way to the blocks. I can't tell you how many times I've seen kids walking by who wouldn't resist the urge to shove the towers over.  We always had a rule: "you can't push them over if you didn't build them!"  That rule kept us busy!!  Haha.  I love that these two are not inclined to do that.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
