Miles - 02/12/2021
Miles ate a large serving of brown rice and ate raisins for breakfast. Initially he shook his head furiously at the rice, so we started with raisins and went from there. This happens frequently so I always let him choose what he starts with and then I feed him the really messy stuff like rice. For lunch he ate two servings of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, ate riced cauliflower, and ate mangoes. I felt pretty successful after he ate all his riced cauliflower. (Again this is a food I feed to him.) That's a first! Nora was just as happy as me. :)
Miles was the only one here for probably 45 minutes and that was super fun. His first two jobs of the morning; clear top shelf of blocks then move over and clear everything off the top of the dress-up rack. "Ok, I got that done and I'm satisfied with a job well done." He moved on to the toy shelves with the sinks. He climbed up on top of the shelf and when he was getting down he thought about going off facing forward. "That's a bad idea Miles." So he turned around and carefully went off. I clapped and cheered for him. Then (of course) he wanted me to cheer for everything he did. Haha. Third picture: "Hey Gary, there's enough holes in this thing to keep a fella busy for a long time!" :)
Next two pictures; Cal had this school bus; Miles was playing with it earlier. I have 4 school buses in this toy set. (You can see 2 more in the first pictrue.) I'd offered Miles the twin of this bus and his response was SO interesting. He sat there for 30 seconds looking at it, looking at the one Cal had, looking back and forth maybe two times, and headed over to try to get the one Cal had. Miles grabbed the bus and I grabbed my camera. :) It didn't escalate which is kind of a testament to their temperaments. Then I simply went and got the other bus AGAIN and this time Miles took it. If only ALL situations were that easy to care for. Haha. These two boys really are a joy for me to care for.
