Miles - 04/22/2021

Miles ate a blueberry waffle and ate fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of ground turkey, no whole wheat tortillas, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries.  

First picture: "Hey Gary! Look what Cal gave me!!" Wow, a boatload of ice cream on one cone! Haha. Enjoy buddy! Second picture: Atley accommodating Miles in his quest for continual fist-bumping. Which leads me to the next point. We were outside doing Science as you'll read in Nora's Blog. At the same time the Plumber showed up to take care of a major drain situation. Also, my helper Dustin is finishing up our metal siding job. Wow! Miles had so many potential fist bumpers that some times all he could do was yell "hi hi hi hi!!!" as they passed back-n-forth doing their jobs!! Hahahaha!! Cal saw the two men going into the house with their tools and he said, "I wanna go in the house!" Haha.

Next picture: The early days of learning Gary's rules when coloring!! Haha. First two rules; we don't put the markers in our mouth. Next rule; we don't color on ourself; just color on the paper. Oops, sorry Miles, busted!! You're in violation of rule number two. :) Cal asked to color and Miles was yelling in agreement. Cal was more interested in "snapping" the markers shut; which is also part of the rule list!! Haha. Good job Cal!! Miles was coloring vigorously for 36.8 seconds. So vigorously in fact his paper flew off the highchair. Ha. Sometimes the coloring sessions are short. :) Last picture: Cal said, "Hey Gary, can I go upside-down?" Sure, go for it. Miles was there on the couch too and took advantage of the opportunity.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
