Miles - 04/29/2021

Miles ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and ate his strawberries. 

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the "bubble brigade" had their noodles and were waiting for me to start slinging bubbles around!! (And that's basically how it works; no blowing bubbles here! Ha!) I think this is an adorable picture of everyone. Second picture: Miles hanging out at the gate to wave at anybody or nobody; he doesn't really care. Haha. No, he gets very excited when it's a live person to wave at, talk to, and bump fists!! 

Next picture: Callahan said, "Gary, can I have some water?" Atley and Nora were in the Preschool Room and I said, "Hey, would you guys bring the boys some water?" I love how they know exactly where to sit and wait for the water to be delivered. :) Miles is sure understanding language!! The moment Cal asked for water, Miles sprinted to the step and sat down. Before Cal got there. Ok Miles we know you've got the "receptive language" skills, now it's time to work on the "expressive language." It's amazing how he can communicate by yelling and pointing and it's pretty effective!! He yells and we all move around meeting his needs. Why use words!?! :)

Next two pictures: Nice looking boy with a very cool hat. Ha. Last picture: Well they wanted to watch some "Science with Lauralea" so they actually watched for a long time before getting bored. Today's theme was "Popcorn" and you can see Miles is reaching for more samples!! Haha.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
