Miles - 05/07/2021

Miles ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, cauliflower, and ate mangoes.  

So this is probably old news to you at home, but yesterday I heard Miles singing for the first time AND I could recognize the song by the tune. I love that. "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." (Or "Baa Baa Black Sheep" Ha.) Not one recognizable word, but right on tune. Awesome. That's how it was with Atley for a LONG time; LOTS of tunes, but the words were jumbled! :) It's actually a good way to learn/practice language.

First picture: Look where his legs are it; this is a frequent thing he does. He's funny! Second picture:  So the boys were studying a scar on my leg. Haha. Finally Cal asked me; "Why you have skin on!?!" Haha. Because it's better than having skin off. :)

Next picture: Two boys on a chair messing with their noses! Haha. At least Cal is not picking his nose; just mashing it against his face. Miles wasn't picking his either; just holding his finger steady at that spot and focusing on what Cal was doing. Haha. They crack me up. Good work men. :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
