Miles - 05/21/2021

Miles ate a large serving of whole grain cream of wheat cereal and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, one bite of brown rice, ate broccoli, and ate pineapple. Because of Avi frequently mentioning her love of "cream of wheat" now Atley and Nora are chanting the same thing and eating more than one serving. And so did Callahan. :) I made a total of 8 servings for breakfast and they ate it all. 

First picture: I took this shortly after waving bye to Momma and he'd come to the couch and sat beside me. I had several to choose from, but this is the cutest. :) And it kind of reflected his mood at the moment. Emily and I were talking about Miles when he "pitches a fit" - the intensity and the length. So far he's been pretty easy to deal with. The most upset I've seen him was when Momma picked up Nora and he was left behind. (That was actually more sad than mad.)

Next picture: Miles was excited to see the birds feeding in the yard this morning. And to Miles' delight they came back several times too. Following picture; Here the boys are enjoying the 2nd view they have with the furniture moved around. They were actually watching the birds again in the neighbor's yard. 

Last picture: Cal and Miles running and running around and around on the mattress. They love the mattress and never get tired of it. It's so good for large motor skills; especially balance. When I see a child running on the mattress I know they've got the "walking thing" mastered! Callahan was chanting; "Go go babies, go go babies, go go babies, go go babies." Speaking of language when I was changing Miles diaper today he was singing again. "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." And this time I could understand several words!! "up above....." He said, "above" so plain.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
