Miles - 05/27/2021

Miles ate two servings of French Toast and ate strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, half of peas, and ate strawberries.  

Here is a picture of typical 2 year old behavior! Initially one of them - this time it was Miles - was screaming because Cal was trying to take his toys. I see that as a "teaching moment" and my response: "Cal, find another toy no one is playing with." I barely get that out of my mouth and Miles is handing the disputed toy to Cal!! I wish I knew how many times in the past 25 years I've seen that EXACT same scenario played out!! Goofy kids. (Teaching moment wasted!) Why were you screaming if you were just gonna hand it off!!  LOL!

More pictures from this morning. Cal and Miles each had about the same amount of toys/cars and were playing in close proximity to each other. Miles had his on the couch and Cal was on the floor beside the couch. Following picture - playing with the food toys and putting mustard on his sandwich. I threw the matching "ketchup bottle" away yesterday because he chewed a hole through the end of it. :)  Last picture: This was super cute!! Miles was sitting on the couch beside me and Cal was in front of us making goofy sounds. Miles thought it was hilarious and Cal stepped up to the plate in a big way. "Oh, you think that's funny!? How about this sound!?!" Ha. I was doing selfies of Miles and eventually Cal poked his face around the corner and this is the picture I got. :) Having fun times together!!

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
