Miles - 06/01/2021

Miles ate kix cereal and two servings of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples. So check out this picture!! Right before lunch I noticed he wasn't moving on the mattress; facing the window. So I walked over in front of him and sure enough he'd fallen asleep. Ha! Geez Buddy; these long weekends are hard on a fella especially when they don't let you sleep enough!! :) So cute! However, I gently scooped him up, sat him in his highchair, got his milk, and he started waving at Svea ("hi hi hi") like he does when he gets up from a nap. :) So look at what he ate for Lunch; the 3 minute nap didn't stop him from eating. My opinion: This is another example of temperament. I've had lots of kids do a similar thing and they'd howl if you tried to get them to eat something before nap. Just too miserable and tired!!

Next picture; Well they went right back to their look-out spot that has become a favorite. The neighbor built a gate right below the window, but I'm not sure Miles can see it even when he's on his tallest tippy toes. Ha. The big girls noticed it immediately! Cal can see part of it. Following picture: The boys asked for flashlights when Atley and Nora were playing with them too. They were kind of in the middle of dueling-lights when I took this picture. :)

Last picture; Miles got busy and worked hard clearing all the toys from the couch. (Slinging the toys over his shoulder - backwards. It was kind of dangerous where I was standing!) I was curious what he was planning to do!! When it was clean he grabbed a couple of doll blankets and crawled up on the couch. Ha. After a few minutes I threw another blanket over his head and he just sat there. So I said, "Wave at me Miles!" And he did. Haha. See his hand sticking out.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
