Miles - 06/10/2021

Miles ate blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate a half serving of our homemade hamburger & sausage pizza with meat, pineapple, peppers, olives, and tomato sauce. He ate bites of whole wheat pizza crust we serve on the side, and ate pineapple on the side. 

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and Atley was pulling half of the Daycare population. Ha. (The Nelson girls had already left.) It actually started hailing before Atley left and pounded some hail for several minutes. Atley said it looked like "bunnies" bouncing across the yard. :)

Next picture: This scene made me laugh! Silly kids. I'm not sure what Avi was doing, but Cal and Miles were looking for Svea. Cal was saying, "Svea, are you in there?!" He was referring to the clothes rack. "Svea, are you in there?" Miles is peering in from the other side. Meanwhile Svea was yelling from the bathroom to let me know she was done. Haha. Avi knew where Svea was and I think she too was just getting a kick out of these boys looking for Svea. 

Next picture: I love watching this little fella focus on what he's doing. He goes about doing his Art paper the same way Nora did; carefully and deliberately. Like I mentioned a couple of days past, most kids this age usually scribble (wildly) across the paper, up and down, or in big circles. He's so focused. I love it. Also, notice how he holds his marker. Ask me how the usual progression happens. Last picture; Avi was playing with the boys on the mattress; lots of jumping, rolling, "tossing" them, and then she moved to the couch and they immediately followed. She is really good with these little ones. Well done Avi.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
