Miles - 06/11/2021

Miles ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and ate applesauce.  

Callahan is not here today, but Miles played just fine. He's such a mellow kid and I don't see much change in behavior when something is different. Now when I say "mellow" I'm referring to temperament, not vocal cords. Haha. Dang he's loud. I told him today it's time to start talking and quit the screaming. :) I did notice less screaming with Callahan absent!! :) I love taking pictures of him because he's such a cute little guy!! He was pushing all the different animal sound buttons in the first picture. Look at his eyes; reminds me of Nora. In the second picture he was dancing (with Avi's encouragement) to some Alexa music that Avi had chosen. 

Next picture; Here's one of the benefits with less kids; the Preschool girls were doing Science with Lauralea and Miles came over to the couch and snuggled with me. Such a sweet little guy. He looks very contented; or maybe I'm just projecting how I felt!! Ha. Following picture: Today's Science with Lauralea was not as stimulating as Svea needed so she left the table and went to the Daycare Room. Miles was more than happy to pile pillows, stuffed animals, dress-up clothes, and all the soft stuff on her. She didn't notice when he tossed a hard animal toy on her; I was waiting for her to chew him out, but you got away with one Miles!! :)

Last picture: The Theme for Science with Lauralea today was "Birds." The Preschool kids scattered bird seed in front of the big window and then we went into the back yard and threw out some more into the corner of the yard. Miles and Svea were barefoot, but I don't think they noticed. Ha.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
