Miles - 07/26/2021

Miles ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken topped with avocado, whole wheat pita bread, cucumbers, and pears. 

We did a toy exchange this weekend and it's been a few weeks because we were on vacation and then my cleaning people were on vacation!! The kids were VERY excited to have new stuff and it was fun to watch the excitement.

Miles was randomly saying, "Bubba, Bubba, Bubba." Over and over. Cal finally said, "Don't say Bubba. That's my brother." Miles response? "Bubba, Bubba, Bubba." Repeat this several times and you get the idea what I was listening to. Haha. 

Pictures from this morning. Miles with the school buses - there are actually 4 of them - and he's trying to figure out how to keep them ALL for himself!! Second picture: Well it's basically the same as the first picture: Miles saw Cal with a doll and was "protecting" this one so Cal couldn't get it!! Haha. I've watched this exact scene over and over in the last 25 plus years! :) Do you think it's part of being human? 

The boys had fun playing outside after Nora went to Swim Lesson. The Nelson girls were not here until after Swim Lesson and Atley is with her Cousins today and tomorrow. Miles was inside the big box (I installed a new washer this weekend) and Cal was peeking in at him. I could hear Miles squealing from inside the box. :) Following picture: Waving bye to Lauralea. Miles stayed two or three steps back, slightly apprehensive while watching the garage door go up and down. :) Last picture: More play with the cars and car ramp on the patio.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
