Miles - 08/03/2021

Miles ate bites of his waffle serving and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, half of his whole wheat tortilla, ate corn, and baked cinnamon apples.  

First picture: Almost every morning Lauralea steps out on the front porch to brush her hair. (She has lots of hair and that's what she's chosen to do.) It's basically a daily ritual for Miles to go to the window and he can see her if he pushes his face against the window. This morning she walked over to the window to wave at him. :)

Here's another morning ritual!! Sprinting from the window to the couch!! Haha. They love doing this. Miles hits that couch at full speed and does a face-plant and comes up laughing! It looks a bit painful, but I guess it's fun. Haha. Following picture: I happened to have the camera when they laid on the couch and when I took this picture Cal said, "He's my good friend." Well that's good to hear because sometimes it's hard to tell if that's true or not. Haha. Just kidding. Totally normal to be buds one moment and yelling and hitting the next moment. And we just keep on talking and showing appropriate behavior!!

Last two pictures: The boys played on this little teeter-totter for several minutes. It took a few minutes to convince Cal it'd work better if he'd sit on the end. Haha. And eventually he got off and moved down. I believe he had to wait until it was his idea. :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
