Miles - 08/06/2021

Miles ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate salmon, most of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and mangoes.  

Miles was sitting on my lap facing me and I did a BIG - mouth wide open - loud yawn!! When I opened my eyes Miles was very close to my face peering into my open mouth!! Haha! It was so cute and funny! So Miles was pretty snuggly for quite awhile this morning. It always bugs kids in some manner when things are different at home. And it's really different with Daddy gone for a few days. Miles also coughed a few times and I wiped his nose a couple of times so that could have been part of it too. Second picture: This is a common position for Miles when I'm sitting on the couch; he crawls up and gets all comfy with his back leaning against me. :)

Next two pictures; Got his hair combed for Art Class. :) As usual I'm impressed with his deliberate use of the marker and no wild scribbling. He also did lots of stickers and was showing me his final piece. :)

Last two pictures from outside time. Atley and Nora were under the parachute again and Miles was taking a look at what they were doing. Last picture: We had a young lady come and clean our basement today and we told her she could bring along her 3 year old daughter. Miles was pulling the wagon and the little girl took advantage and jumped right in. He was totally good with that and kept on pulling. He also offered her a roly-poly bug two or three times. Ha. That's love right there!

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
