Miles - 09/23/2021

Miles ate two servings of French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, bites of whole wheat toast, half of peas/carrots, and ate strawberries. 

Hey Emily, Svea didn't arrive until almost 11:00 so we didn't go on the walk I had planned. We'll either go after nap time or tomorrow. It was a lot of fun having lots of one-on-one time with Miles and I loved it. We sang songs and did the actions and as you know he loves that. He will sit and do that way longer than he'll sit and read books. (At least that's what I am seeing here.) I like the cute little smug look on his face in the selfie we did. Second picture: Miles is pushing a button with his left hand - over and over and over and over - and watching my reaction. Ha. Depending on what mode the car is in, it will repeat a phrase or the shape of that particular hole. You can see a circle, star, and heart from this picture angle.

Next picture; This is a little game we play as I'm washing my hands after doing diapers. The kids stand at the gate while I'm washing and I splash a little water in their direction and say, "It's raining! It's raining! It's raining! Miles runs off squealing and comes right back saying, "More more more!" :) Following picture: Lately whenever Miles plays with the blocks he's been doing the "stair-step" thing you see in the picture. Initially I thought it might be a "genius move" and then he kept trying to set the other block out into space with nothing holding it up! So for now I'm backing off the genius designation! Sorry Momma.  Haha. He kept trying and trying to make it work and eventually got frustrated and kind of hit the block. (Which made me laugh - quietly.)

Last picture; Svea went and sat in the swivel/rocker and told Miles he needed to push the chair. Initially he started walking backwards. Ha. I told him it would work better if he'd go the other direction. He totally got that idea and immediately changed directions. Maybe he is a genius!?! Whew! I gotta stay in good with Momma!! Svea only cared about one thing; "Go Miles! Go!" :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
