Miles - 10/06/2021

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of chicken, ate brown rice, cauliflower, and mandarin oranges. 

These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon playing outside. The hardest part having three on the little whale teeter-totter - two people have to share one handle and this time it's Cal and Miles. They did fine and no one ended up yelling!! :) Second picture - now the three are sharing a small space on the outdoor balance beam. Ha. Just as I took the picture Svea's Mom was driving up and that's what Miles was pointing at.

Next picture: This made me laugh. Every flying bug that Miles sees he calls a "bee." He was pointing and yelling, "Bee bee bee!" Cal joined in and they both were alerting me to the "bee" on the ceiling. It was a box elder bug. Yesterday when we were in the wagon we walked through a hatch of some kind of TINY flies and two or three landed on Cal. He was NOT happy about that. They were so small it took me a couple seconds to even see what was causing him distress!! The kids then "feed" off each other's excitement and anxiety!!

Last picture: Miles has been building with the legos pieces more and more lately. I asked him about what he built here and he said, "Home home, Mommy, Daddy." I know he's been doing some "representational" drawing with the markers, but this is the first time he's verbalized what he's doing with the legos. Very cool Miles and good job! (You little genius!!)  :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
