Miles - 10/18/2021

Miles ate two servings of bran cereal and ate raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of chicken, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate green beans, and ate his pears. 

Cal and Svea were in a conflict over toys. I gave them my little speech - always short and to the point with this age group!! "There are LOTS of toys for everyone SO find a toy nobody is playing with!!" They've heard that sentence many times. Two seconds after I finished my sentence Miles - he'd been sitting and listening to the whole thing - yelled, "MINE!!" LOL!! Dang Toddlers!! :)

So speaking of Toddlers here they are in the first picture: They were on hands and knees back and forth across the room as fast as they could go. They'd been running back and forth - diving into the couch face-first and then they decided to crawl. Lots of laughing and having fun. My favorite sounds!!

Next picture: So here's Teacher Assistant Svea handling a situation!! Cal and Miles were squabbling and Cal started pinching Miles so Svea was giving Cal the lecture. Ha. Following picture: Did I mention that she's my assistant!?! She had the boys sitting and ready for their waters. I was gonna get the waters, but she wanted to do it herself. Thanks for helping Svea!!

Next picture: We haven't posted a selfie for a few days so here's one when Miles was snuggling with me this morning. He'll sometimes crawl up on the couch and lean his head on my shoulder and then run off and play. What a sweetie. In case you haven't realized it - haha - I adore this little guy!! Last picture; I love how he'll sell-entertain and frequently he's content to do his own thing. And he experiments a lot; he had the jingle bells piled on the plate then filling both cups - one on each side of the plate - and seeing how full he could get them. So cute to watch his little brain at work. (Sorry Momma, I mean BIG brain!!)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
