Miles - 10/25/2021

Miles ate kix cereal and two servings of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground turkey topped with avocado, ate whole wheat sandwich thin, tomatoes, and two servings of cherries. 

First picture - We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and the first thing Miles looked for were the cars. This exchange is more focused on animals and food, but he managed to find 3 cars!! Ha. Second picture; We were singing "The wheels on the Bus" and Miles was doing lots of words and actions. As you can probably guess from the picture this verse is "the babies on the bus go waaaah waaaah waaaah...." good job Miles. As you know he loves to sing and it's wonderful for language development as well. :)

Next picture: When Svea arrived I don't think she noticed the Toy Exchange for several minutes. She was busy laying out goodies from home and showing them to Miles. :) Following picture: Svea asked, "Can Lulu visit us today?" We haven't been visited by Lulu for a long time; although she does sit on the shelf so the kids can see her. She's kind of creepy looking when she opens her mouth; from the sideview it looks like one of the characters in the Pac-Man Game. (Released in early 1980's for the youngsters among us!! Haha!) Her singing is kinda creepy too - Gary doing his falsetto - but the kids love her!! :)

In the last picture Svea is reading a book to the boys that she brought with her. Actually it's a search and find book; not much to read! But she was showing them all the details. Miles didn't last long, but Cal was pretty interested in it and eventually he was laying on the floor facing Svea so he was looking at the book upside-down!! Haha. I told Lauralea it didn't matter because the "picture keys" were upside-down too. :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
