Miles - 12/03/2021

Miles ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. 

I think it's cute how Miles will frequently say the last word of a verse in a song, the last word of the sentence in a book he's familiar with, and today he even finished the last word of two of my sentences! Just like Lauralea!! Hahaha. Example: He does this thing when I'm changing his diaper and says, "Owww!" at the exact same spot when I'm pulling his pants down. And you know me, I always say, "Oh you're fine!!" Haha. So this morning he said, "Owww" and then immediately said, "Fine, fine." I love it.

Very early in a baby's life they will "check in" (that's what Lauralea and I have always called it)  with their Caregiver many times during the day. And then continue to do that as they get older; although the frequency gradually gets less and less. Miles will be playing - did it this morning - and randomly say, "Hi Gay Gay. Hi Gay Gay." Haha. Hi Miles. Yes I'm still here Buddy, and I'm still watching you, and some day you'll do the "r" sound. :)

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Miles was doing some Art at the table the same time as Avi. When I took this picture she was autographing his Art work for him! Haha.

I came out from the kitchen and Queen Svea had the boys standing at attention so I took the picture. I don't know what she was playing, but they were attempting to do as they were told! Ha. A few minutes later they were back at the same spot, except that time they were watching the guys across the street spray paint the house on the corner. 

More activities from this morning: Svea was waiting for Miles to get ready to jump and then all jump together. As you can imagine that rarely works!! Ha. Look at Cal's expression. He has his own idea about when to jump!! Last picture: I like this picture because all three are very much into the Art work they were just starting! Question: Why does Miles have on his pajamas!?! Answer: It was close to Lunch Time and he'd just pooped.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles - 08/24/2022

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
