Miles - 12/14/2021

Miles ate blueberry bagel and two large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice covered with two servings of mixed berries and the juice, and he ate his broccoli. 

First picture: Cal and Miles snuggled on my lap for the longest time this morning. From 8:10 - 8:50 when Svea arrived; and neither of them got down during that time!! We rocked in the chair and listened to Christmas songs and watched people go by out the window. It was pretty awesome and I think all 3 of us enjoyed it. I know I did!! :) A school bus went by and of course Miles called it a "beep beep." Cal said, "School Bus" and so Miles called it a "bus." First time I've heard him do that. In the picture they were looking at Mickey Mouse that's on my shirt. Miles kept calling it something that sounded more like "meow" to me. :)

Second picture: I have no idea what Super Hero hat costume Cal is wearing here! Haha. I know the gloves are Spider Man and that's about the extent of my knowledge in that area. There is a full costume that goes with the hat. There are actually several Super Hero costumes in this toy exchange. (In case anyone is concerned: No one was injured while getting this picture!! Ha.)

Next picture; Miles doing his thing! :) Last picture: Miles was sorting strawberries back-n-forth from cup to bowl, cup to bowl, over and over. Svea came along and wanted the strawberries, of course, and so Miles willingly gave them up. I watched closely on the follow-up to this exchange and he was fine with giving them up. Sometimes that age will hand it off, but not realize it's not coming back very soon. You're a sweet boy Miles and that was a sweet gesture to your friend Svea.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
