Miles - 02/01/2022

Miles ate toasted cinnamon/raisin English muffin and most of his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, brown rice, broccoli, and mandarin oranges.

Miles was sitting in a corner of the Daycare Room playing with toys when Cal went over to him and said, "This is NOT where you go potty. You go potty in the bathroom." Haha. I have no idea whether Miles was going potty or not, but apparently Cal thought so. :) It never fails, when a 3 year old figures out a skill they are immediately an expert!! :)

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon - Svea is sick and not here today - Svea puts in a LOT of time and effort every day arranging toys; primarily the food toys. She's usually hosting a meal or some kind of party. In this picture the boys are patiently waiting for their turn to be served. 

I took this picture shortly after Miles arrived and he was taking on Svea's role for a few short minutes! He has the "brownies" on the tray and he was saying, "Treat, Treat, Treat, Treat." Then he said, "Make mac & cheese." Haha. Notice all the bracelets on his left arm. In the following picture Cal was on the phone with "Avi." He told Miles; "Avi wants to say hi to you." They both love Avilene and they were very happy that she came here after school yesterday.

This is a picture of a page from one of the books we read at Story Time; "The way I feel." Every page talks about different feelings - with illustrations -  and I'm always curious if the kids can identify how some one if feeling by "reading" their face. I asked Miles, "How is this person feeling?" Miles said, "Good." Haha. That made me laugh. Cal is enough older that he identified many of the feelings by looking at the pictures. Last picture: The boys having fun being wild and silly on the mattress. Cal asked Miles this morning, "You wanna wrestle?!?" :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
