Miles - 02/25/2022

Miles ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, half of his riced cauliflower/sweet potato mix, and ate mangoes. The Food Program monitor Lady showed up unannounced to observe a meal at breakfast, but the kids did great and it was a very minimal interruption. She has a 1 year old and 3 year old herself so maybe the kids sensed how comfortable she was around them. She was getting a kick out of Miles saying, "I'm done, I'm done" while shoveling more food in his mouth!! Haha. Cal and Svea were already done and playing and that was adding to his need to "be done!!" And I had no deficiencies so that was good as well!! 

All three kids were running back-n-forth across the room from couch to window. I didn't realize it was a "race" and Miles wasn't aware of it either, but of course that didn't really matter!! It's just an amusing side note!! When they were done Svea announced the winners. She told Cal, "You won first, I'm second, and Miles is three." Miles immediately said, "No!! Me Two!! Me Two!" Hahaha. That's funny!

Morning pictures: Svea proudly showing off the goodies she brought from home for them to play with. And she is usually pretty good about sharing so her stuff doesn't immediately end up back on her cubby!! Second picture: Playing "Ring around the Rosy" and "We all fall down" is always the favorite part!! Third picture; I can't believe I caught them close enough together to get them all in one picture.

More pictures: Miles was teasing Lauralea by intentionally putting the wrong end on one of the animals. It was pretty funny and very cute. Following picture; Miles is letting Svea comb his hair and make him look all pretty. :) Last picture: Svea was playing keep-away with a red car that Miles wanted. And for once it was fun for everyone - instead of howling and screaming. :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
