Miles - 03/02/2022

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, whole wheat tortilla, carrots, potatoes, and two large servings of mango/strawberry. At Lunch Miles was begging for more fruit and I said, "You gotta eat all your other food first - just like ole' Cal." Cal protested that he wasn't "old!!" LOL!! Cal said, "I'm new Cal!!" So stinking funny!!

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. This ALWAYS makes me laugh; when they coax the youngest and smallest into doing all the work. You may be surprised how often we've seen this happen over the years of Child Care!! Atley and Avi frequently tried to get Nora to pull the wagon for them!! And she occasionally would; depending on her mood!! Ha. No surprise there right!?!

Next two pictures: This is directly after breakfast and the ONLY time Miles went without his mask all morning. Haha. The kids make a distinction between the Daycare Room and Preschool Room by asking to do an "Activity" if they want to go to the Preschool Room. Well Cal calls it "av-i-tiv-ity." And I wasn't about to correct him because it's just too cute!! Then Miles said it the exact same way. "Do av-i-tiv-ity?" You can see that Miles filled up 2 of the rods with round colored balls. There are cylinders and blocks, but nope, just balls. He was cheering for himself when I took the picture. I actually made this activity for them to follow patterns, but Miles and I will work on that another day. :)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
