Miles - 05/20/2022

Miles ate oatmeal and apple bites for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground beef, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate carrots, and fruit cocktail. Breakfast conversation; Cal was telling Miles about golfing. I've tried everything I can think of to get Cal to tell me how he broke his golf club. So I thought maybe this was the moment. ME: "Hey Miles, ask Cal how he broke his gold club." So Miles asked him. Cal said, "I broke it on Gary!" LOL! What a little goof. Cracks me up.

Little Treasures rule at Meal Time: "No Singing." (This seems obvious, but here's the reason: They can't sing and eat at the same time.) However, Miles has recently taken that to another level! He's been saying, "NO SINGING!!" every time anyone sings! Any time, any place; "NO SINGING!" Silly boy.
I already told Momma Emily this story: Yesterday afternoon the kids (including Avi and Nora) were all asking, "What's that yucky smell!?!" Lauralea was roasting herself some brussel sprouts. Miles said, "I like your food Gary." That made me laugh.

First picture: Miles loves maneuvering the locks and latches on this board. He's played with it more this week than any other activity!!

First picture: Svea asked if they could do some Dot Painting and the kids had fun with that. When I took this picture they were discussing (ie, arguing - ha) about Miles' picture. Svea said, "Cal! I KNOW you love red!! But that's pink!" Haha. I try not to intervene in those moments and let them work it out. Especially when it has to do with colors!! Ha. I've labeled these bottles (for me) and that one said "red." Last picture: Svea ended up making a mask out of her picture. Then she went and stood above Cal and Miles and demanded they look at her. "Look at Me!" "I said Look at me!" Finally Cal said, "I want you to stop; it's too scary!" Haha.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
