Miles - 05/31/2022

Miles ate half of his toasted cinnamon/raisin English muffin and a few bites of dried plums for breakfast. For Lunch he ate bites of chicken, bites of brown rice, ate beets, and ate his mandarin oranges.

So maybe Daddy Ryan is interested in knowing why Miles refused to wave at the window this morning. Here's the story: As Ryan went out the door Miles locked the door. I told Miles I didn't want him to mess with the lock. He immediately melted and howled, "I miss Mom!" Haha. "I'm sure you do, but you still cannot play with the lock." So I was snuggling him and started to giggle about what happened and he said, "It's not funny!" Haha. And refused to wave at Daddy. In the middle of this I did a big sneeze! He said, "That TOO loud!!" Haha. I agree. The rest of the morning was just fine.

First picture: Miles spotted the picture on the side of this box and apparently it's from "Peter Pan" movie. (I have no idea.) Miles said, "I watch it at Grandpa and Grandma's." Miles and Svea then discussed the Movie at length. Second picture: Svea and Miles were doing some Art. (Cal is back tomorrow.)

Next picture: We'd just gotten outside and Svea excitedly said, "Gary Gary Gary!! It's a Queen Ant." I had to Google that to see if they're called "Queens." They can be "Queen, Princess, or Worker." Similar to bees. Following picture: They were just as excited to find a Roly Poly bug. Miles was gonna poke it with a blade of grass, but Svea would not allow that to happen!! :)

Next picture: We picked some lilacs from the neighbors bushes - with permission. :) Last picture: Svea yelled; "Hey Gary!! There's deer out the window."

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
