Miles - 06/15/2022

Miles ate whole wheat toast and mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat spaghetti noodles, cauliflower, and fruit salad.

First picture: Miles playing with a Duplos Truck. In Gary's World at Little Treasures this is actually a pretty significant thing he's doing. :) The cab on the truck snaps into place and then pivots down, similar to what big semis do to gain access to the motor. He's the first kid I've seen attempt it in this manner. I'm impressed because it's a very logical way to do it. All the other kids have simply tried to push the cab straight down and snap it into place. Good work Miles!!

Next picture: Miles and Cal doing some drawing and coloring - primarily because Atley was doing some Art as well. Cal said he was drawing a "ginormous dinosaur." Side note for those who like Trivia. I Googled the word - Ginormous is basically slang, but it's been around for awhile. It came out of World War II from the British. :) Following picture: He primarily likes this book because there are some magnets in it!! Or at least that's a good reason to keep Cal from getting it!! :)

Next picture: He played at the Doll House for several minutes. When he saw me watching him he said, "There's a baby in here." :) Last picture: We did spend some time outside and here the boys are heading out on a Fly Hunting Trip. (Somewhat different than Fly Fishing! Haha. Gary Humor.)

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
