Miles - 06/29/2022

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three servings of cherries for breakfast. For lunch: No pulled pork, no whole wheat tortillas, ate sweet potatoes, and fruit cocktail. 

I'm occasionally gonna include things that Nora says in Miles' Blog this summer too. This morning Nora informed me, "When I'm 6 I don't have to go the Doctor and do any check-outs. When I'm 7 I will have to get a check-out, but not when I'm 6." LOL. Isn't that cute! :)

First picture: Boys acting like silly Boys. Cal was whipping his head back-n-forth and Miles trying to get him to stop. Second picture: So this is almost always the scene I see when I step out of the bathroom. It's been a routine for a long time. I think Svea started it! They call it "sneaking on Gary." Today Miles said, "We're sneaking on you Gary." :) Side note: So far I've managed not to step on anyone. :)

Next picture: Miles, Nora, and Cal are under the parachute. Guess what game they are playing. If you said, "Rock Paper Scissors" you are the winner. Your prize will be mailed. Haha. I heard Cal asking Nora, "Why do you always say rock?!?" Nora said, "Because you always say scissors!!" Haha. I like your strategy Nora.

Next picture: Miles providing the power for this wagon ride. They were taking turns pulling. Cal is yelling for more speed (of course) and I like how he's leaning back preparing for the inevitable whiplash!! Haha. Last picture: Miles heard the truck coming and sprinted for the gate before the truck came around the corner. He was THRILLED when he saw it and yelled, "Garbage Truck!!" The driver was very friendly and waving at the kids. Did you notice the garbage bin in the air as it's being unloaded?

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
