Miles - 8/14/2020

Miles ate most of his oatmeal and ate a large serving of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  He had no whole wheat dinner roll, he ate a large serving of apricots.    

I told Nora; "Your brother sure is a sweetie."  Nora said, "He shore is!!"  Sounded like she'd been down South visiting Auntie in Louisiana!!  Either that, or she went to a Rodeo in South Dakota.  :)

Well I have two kids today; Callahan decided to stay home with Momma so I have these two cute Hansen kids.  :)  First picture: His left hand is moving so it's blurry, but he has a wooden puzzle piece and it was working fabulously for making lots of noise by pounding in the stainless steel bowl!!  Haha.  I think he's proud of himself.  Second picture; He was standing up at the window again like yesterday, but this time he was yelling because he wasn't sure about making it down.  I kept saying, "You can do it, you can do it."  (Because he did it yesterday by himself.)  And sure enough he did it carefully and deliberately right when I took the picture.  :)


Here are a couple of pictures from outside this morning.  The sidewalk and grass were a bit chilly this so I put these pants on Miles.  Nora said, "They look SO cute on him."  Haha.  Well thank goodness for that!! Last picture: Nora wanted me to push her in the stroller, but instead I just stood Miles up behind her.  Look at him reaching for her hair; that was way more interesting than anything else.  Nora turned around to see what he was doing and he was ready with a perfectly timed sneeze!  Gross.  Then the stroller moved or inched forward ever so slightly! Maybe an inch, but it was enough to freak him out!!  Haha.  He wasn't expecting that!

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles - 01/26/2022

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
