Miles ate French toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a large serving of Whole 30 Chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, peppers, and spices.  He had no whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of tropical fruit.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when we ventured out on a very short "field trip." Ha.  Across the street and three houses down on Rainbow Drive they have their yard full of halloween decorations.  Everyone listened very well - "either that or we're heading back immediately" - and of course the two little boys wanted to crawl out when we stopped to look over the yard.  I'll post a different picture in Nora's Blog where you can see her better. Here are some super cute pictures from Miles' morning at Little Treasures.  It looks like the boys may be swapping legos pieces.  Haha.  At this age that just leads to "hey! why'd you take my piece!?!" ...

Miles ate raisin cinnamon English muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a large serving of chicken, no brown rice, bite of broccoli, and a large serving of pineapple.  First picture:  Miles was about to make his move for the food toys.  :)  Svea likes to get the food toys, take them to the couch, set them down, and go get some more.  She's a classic little "stockpiler."  Kids this age think they can set something down and it remains their toy even if they wander off.  (See The Toddler's Creed)  I showed her better places to lay out her food toys where they are not as likely to be stolen and more easy to defend!!  :)  Second picture:  Miles is experimenting with what fits in his cup.  And shortly after the picture Svea stole his cup.   I was a bit late with this next picture, but Miles had been doing lots of experimenting again of course.  There are several holes in the bottom of the...

Miles ate several bites of whole grain Chex cereal and ate two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate refried beans with hamburger and shredded cheese spread on top.  He ate no corn tortilla and ate his mandarin oranges.  Ok, I'll get the Blogs back up and running!!  Our Family from Billings left yesterday and our Louisiana Family left today about Noon.  It was wonderful having everyone here and we were super super busy.  The best news; our Louisiana Family is going home to electricity after 28 days without it!!  I'm Very Thankful for that!! This first picture of Miles is left over from Wednesday afternoon.  I just decided this picture was too cute to not use it!!  All of our Family sure got a kick out of Miles and were so impressed how he just goes about his business all day long and entertains himself.  What a jewel he is.  We managed to get a Toy, book, and puzzle exchange done this weekend!  Primarily done by...

Hi Everyone!  Just a quick note to say there will be no Blog today and tomorrow.  The Blogs will resume on Monday the 28th.  I have a Dr appointment today and my excuse for tomorrow; our 3 Grandchildren are here.  It's lots of fun and VERY busy which is a challenge to take pictures and notes for the Blogs.  Thank you.

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of pork roast, bite of whole wheat tortillas, ate most of carrots, and ate fruit salad.    First picture:  Gideon was giving Miles a morning hug!  Ok, that's enough hugging him Gideon!  Miles is not as thrilled about it as you are!!  :)  Second picture:  The three boys working on some puzzles.  Haha.  Or at least taking the pieces out.  They are great at disassembly!!  Picture Number 3:  Everyone was busy playing and I have to see where Miles is at.  He's alone totally happy playing at the little sink washing off his hamburger bun.  Haha.  Fourth picture: It makes me laugh to watch this age group; most kids this age  totally do not have a sense of personal space.  (Ok, so Nora did.  Haha.  Typical with kids with similar temperament.) Miles was playing and Gideon squeezed between Miles and t...

Miles ate most of raisin cinnamon English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of chicken stir fry, a couple bites of brown rice, and ate mandarin oranges.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Miles played in this wagon for a long time.  Gideon went over and pulled him down the sidewalk and then Callahan showed up and started pulling it too. Finally they just abandoned Miles and the wagon down by the gate.  :)   Next picture; Avi has been gone since Tuesday and the first thing she did when she got here was play with Miles.  So cute.  It was pretty obvious that she missed her Miles buddy.  And of course Miles was loving the attention she was giving him.   I really like this last picture of Miles.  The story behind it was so fun to watch because as usual Miles was so intentional in what he was doing.  He was at the toy shelves and pulled the keys off and you could almost see his...

Miles ate cheerios and three servings of banana for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, bites of biscuits, ate half of olives, ate avocado, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  Miles had a very typical "Miles Morning."  Playing in a group of kids he just really never complains about much of anything!!  Can we clone this guy!?!  :)  Then I'll take 6 of him in Little Treasures.  Haha.  Gideon tipped a car ramp over on him and Miles still didn't complain!!  First picture: Miles in the Library getting ready to look through some kid's books.  Following picture:  The three little guys helping Svea play with the car ramps.   Next picture; Gideon has to always touch the kids and Miles is looking up at him and saying, "Really! You can't walk by me without touching me!?!"  Last picture: Miles hanging out with Svea and playing with the phone.  Miles is probably getting ready to create "Lumenad2."  Or "Lumenad Junior...

Miles ate two bites of brown rice and some raisins for breakfast.  For lunch he ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, tasted the cauliflower, and ate mangoes.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I was getting a kick out of watching Miles play with this hardhat.  He has a legos in the hat and he kept tipping it up to his face and back down.  When I took the picture he was just sitting looking at the legos from this perspective.  He's super curios about everything and very deliberate how he explores.   Next picture: Gideon had been peeking over the top of the blue balance beam watching Miles.  All of a sudden Miles slipped down and 'disappeared.'  Haha.  Gideon had this surprised look on his face.  Hey, where'd he go!?  Oh, here he comes!!   Next two pictures; Gideon and his Mommy went to visit some people and these two were playing so cute as usual.  Callahan was moving in on Miles, but Miles just ...

Miles ate cinnamon raisin English muffin and ate three servings of cherries for breakfast.  For lunch he had a couple bites of everything and that was about it;  Ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce.  (He was more focused on getting some poop out.) First picture: This picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and it was too cute to not use!!  Miles was hanging out in the empty shelf where we keep the big legos building blocks.  Little Cutie was grinning too cute.  His right foot is hiding in his pant leg.  :) Next picture: Miles is trying to get to the legos drawer and Gideon is intent on putting a boot on Miles' foot.  Following picture: Gideon, Callahan, and Miles were at the window watching Big Willy's dog across the street. You can see the dog in the top middle of the picture.  There is frequently something going on outside the window that attracts their attention. Following picture: I thought it was cute how t...

Miles ate bites of French toast and ate two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of "Hearty Paleo Stew" with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, and green beans.  He ate saltines and tropical fruit.    This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon just before snack.  Look at that face.  :)  "Come on Gary!! Give me some stinking food!!"  Just a minute boys and it will be ready!!  Poor kids.  They're on the verge of starving!!   Next picture: I built a sidewalk with the boys and here they are testing it out for structure, strength, and durability.  :)  That's basically what boys do; test the durability of everything they touch.  Ha.  Following picture; Gideon is getting acquainted with Miles and Gideon LOVES a baby.  Sometimes too much.  :)  But Miles with his sweet mellow temperament tolerated the sometimes excessive loves from Gideon....

Just want to do a FYI for everyone.  My daughter Christina and Grandson Gideon will be here later today.  So excited to have them coming for a couple of weeks.  I think this is day 20 they've been without electricity in Louisiana from hurricane Laura.  (Think of the heat without air conditioning!!)  Also, I just want to mention that when the air quality is in the hazardous range I will not be taking the children outside.  I have two air purifiers from the Health Department (One was free! ahh, not really free. Thanks to all of us tax payers.) to help with the inside air while the smoke remains.   Miles ate waffle and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For Lunch he ate chicken, most of whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples.   The first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon and the third picture is from this morning.  I love how Miles is watching Callahan play with a set of keys and of course this is how ...

Miles ate some kix cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch he ate turkey burger, no whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomato, ate avocado, and ate mandarin oranges.    We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were busy as they always are on "new toy Monday!!"  (That's Atley's phrase.)  At Miles age he likes whatever's available, but maybe on some level he knows these are different toys.  :)  He sure picks favorites and then goes to those day after day!! In this first picture he joined Svea and Cal at the window.  Svea was sticking the "cheese" and "meat" to the window.  Haha.  It's kind of a rubber material that clings to the window.  Cal is trying with his "bread slices," but that's made with something different.  :) Next picture; This made me laugh.  Svea had her books to read, but she was taking a moment to gaze out the window when Miles came over to snatch one of her ...

Miles ate bites of oatmeal and ate baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, and green beans.  He had no whole wheat dinner roll and ate apricots.   This first picture is one that I had for yesterday and I commented in the Blog about it.  Avilene and Callahan each had thermometers and were double-teaming Miles.  I like how Avi is checking the results on her's.  Haha.  Miles is ready to skedaddle!!  (Hey, my word check let that word go!!  Ha! It said "skedaddle" is a slang word out of Civil War era that means to depart quickly or run away.)   Next two pictures; Miles is very serious as he goes about his work everyday exploring and figuring out how everything works!!   Last picture: Nora and Svea have isolated and barricaded themselves in the igloo.  I'm posting a different picture of this on Nora's Blog.  Miles was yanking on their door c...
