Miles ate cream of wheat cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch he ate Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.  He ate whole wheat dinner roll, and tropical fruit.   First picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  This is frequently what it looks like when Miles wakes up from his nap!!  Sometimes Miles wakes up before Cal, but not yesterday.  Cal is on the left and Svea's head on the right.  Nora is actually there too in front of Avilene; just well hidden!   Miles and Nora were the first ones here this morning and you can see in the picture their first activity!  Nora was standing on her head and Miles was going over and pulling her down.  Haha.  I showed Miles this picture and he started waving at it.  Haha.   Next picture:  The boys playing with the legos.  I think Cal was building a birthday cake because he kept bringing it to me and singing, "Ha...

Miles ate whole wheat waffle and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground turkey, whole wheat tortillas, no sweet potato, and ate cherries.  He licked the sweet potato, and shook his head no.  I tried to disguise some sweet potato with the meat, but he instantly detected that!  Haha.  Daddy Ryan was out the door for maybe 3 seconds when Miles said, "Bye Dad" just as clear as could be.  :) First picture:  Nora is pretty obsessed with her newfound skill - which she should be - and she's standing on her head here first thing this morning.  Which afforded Miles the opportunity to get involved in the Circus act!!  If you look close you'll see Nora was laughing.   Next picture;  I took this picture when it was just these three kids here this morning.  Music was playing (Lollipop Lollipop) and they were marching around and around.  And you can see Miles was clapping. Following picture:  "I think sh...

Miles ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate chicken, no brown rice, taste of broccoli, and ate pineapple.   The kids were all heading in to get ready for breakfast and Svea said, "Gary!!  I just saw Miles walking!!" Haha!  That always just cracks me up!!  I've heard this exact statement SO MANY TIMES over the years of Child Care.  Just like today, it can be weeks and even months and a child will act like it's the first time they've actually seen a younger one walking.  And maybe it is the first time they've "really" seen it!! First picture:  I'd just washed up the boys after breakfast and I turned around to get Miles out of his highchair and this is what I saw.  Haha.  Silly Cal.  And Miles is leaning in to get a love.  So sweet!  Second picture;  Cal and Miles were at the window watching a garbage truck.  That big window always provides the kids lots of opportunities for watching eve...

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate pork roast, ate whole wheat English muffin, bite of beets, and ate applesauce.   I was changing Cal's diaper and I asked Atley if she'd please smell Miles to see if he was poopy too.  She's always willing to help with that.  She sniffed and said, "Nope, not poopy.  He just smells like the Hansen family."  LOL!!  Oh man, I lost it.  I laughed and laughed and laughed.  Needless to say, Atley was pretty proud of herself for getting me to laugh like that.   First picture; Miles was crawling right into the shelves getting every last toy out of there.  :)  Following picture; This one is a bit blurry because he didn't stop moving.  Talking on the phone and working.  He kept saying, "Lo lo lo lo lo."  (Hello!!  Haha.) Next picture;  Miles was playing with the cup and the small toys in the sink.  Putting several in the...

Miles ate corn chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, tomatoes, avocado, and two servings of mandarin oranges.   First picture;  Nora and Cal had grabbed dolls and doll blankets and were playing with them over by the big gate.  Miles was tagging along behind and he grabbed a couple doll blankets, no dolls, and went looking for them.  He watched his sister play with her doll for several minutes and when Nora left to go do some Art (second picture) Miles took over doll caretaking duties.  He tried to wrap the doll with the blanket a couple of times.   Next picture:  This makes me laugh so much!!  Svea and Cal were at the window with their "binoculars" (they can actually look at animal pictures in them) and talking about what they were looking at across the street.  Miles joined them, but he brought his car along!  LOL.  He's got one of the wheels pu...

Miles ate oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and applesauce.   Avilene got so excited watching Miles go across the room.  She said, "He's running! He's running!" And he was; kinda, sorta.  Haha.  Just kidding.  He actually was doing a little run thing!  :)  Speaking of Avi, she's with Miles in the first two pictures.  First picture; Avi was saying, "Look at me, look at me, look at me."  And he was giggling so cute.  Second picture:  So this is kind of true love here in my opinion.  Miles has his arm stuck in Avi's cheek while he's trying to take a phone call.  Haha.  And she's tolerating it!!  Look at her face.  She's not super joyful, but she's still there!!  :) Next picture:  Giving loves and receiving loves with his buddy Cal.  So precious.  Then sharing a book with Cal in the next picture.  ...

Miles ate bites of blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a large serving of hamburger & sausage pizza with meats, peppers, pineapple, olives, mushrooms, and tomato sauce.  He ate no whole wheat pizza crust we serve on the side, but ate his pineapple on the side.    I ran an errand to the University Box Office this morning to get some concert tickets for my kids in Billings.  (Guns & Roses outdoor concert in Washington Grizzly Stadium in August in case anyone is interested!)  First picture:  When I returned the kids and Lauralea had made this nice block structure and Avi was having fun with Cal and Miles in there.  Miles thinks it's easier to go over the side rather than use the entrance.  Ha.  Second picture: Hey Miles, when you insist on sitting at the bottom of the slide you might get someone on top of you.  Cal has a big cheesy grin on his face.  At least the slide is short an...

Miles ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortilla, ate most of carrots, and ate fruit salad.   First picture;  Miles (with drill in hand) is clearing the shelves of the stacks of blocks.  And every time he knocked some off he'd say, "oh oh, oh oh."  Haha.  Miles, we say "oh oh" when it's NOT done with intention.  Haha.   Second picture: So Miles got most of the blocks on the floor and Callahan started building towers.  You can see Miles stacking up a couple of them himself.  Cal also noticed that and apparently assumed Miles was stacking them just for Cal to use.  Haha.  Cal went and took Miles' blocks and said, "Thanks Mau Mau!"  LOL.  Goofy suckers.   Next picture:  The three big girls were doing Preschool activities in the Preschool Room and all three of the young ones are in the igloo.  Svea and Cal said it was their "Ca...

Miles ate whole wheat English muffin and ate most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch he ate chicken, taste of brown rice, bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate mandarin oranges.    This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and Miles was SO engaged in building with these blocks.  So focused and working hard.  And sitting in his uniques way.  Ha.  Following picture:  Cal and Atley were reading books on the couch and Miles decided he wanted up there too.  He had a book in each hand, but threw them on the floor (rather than lay them on the couch - ha) and when he made it onto the couch he yelled for someone to fetch his books for him.  Haha.    Next picture:  I came around the corner and Miles looked so content just laying and relaxing on the "top bunk."  Haha.  Second picture:  I was initially just trying to get a picture of him wearing the jingle bells on his wrist.  He ran and floppe...

Miles ate cheerios and three servings of banana for breakfast.  He was eating cheerios when he saw I had banana.  He was yelling, "nan, nan, nan, nan."  For lunch he ate some ground beef with some avocado on top, ate whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, and fruit cocktail.   This first picture is left over from afternoon snack on Friday.  You'll see a similar picture on Nora's Blog today; except she's feeding Callahan while Avi was feeding Miles.  When you see Nora's picture feeding Cal, you'll see Nora has her mouth open.  It's hard for me to not open my mouth when feeding the babies. Look at Avi; just cool and focused as can be.  :) These next two pictures go together.  Miles was watching Cal work on a little wooden tower.  I was most impressed that Miles didn't try to interfere with Cal's work.  Second picture; As soon as Cal moved on to another toy Miles started building a tower with good success.   Last two pictures; As soo...

Miles had a taste of brown rice and ate some raisins for breakfast.  For lunch he ate three servings of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, no riced cauliflower, and ate mangoes.  He wouldn't touch the riced cauliflower; probably resembled the morning rice too closely!!  :) Just a reminder; Miles will need wipes for Monday.  He's completely out. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the weather was several degrees above freezing and the kids had fun outside.  Miles LOVES playing outside.  He's gonna love it when the weather warms up a bit so we can be out for longer periods of time.   Next picture:  Miles and I were sitting on the couch looking at this picture in "Live" Mode and he was chuckling every time.  So of course I had to play it over and over.  So cute.  I guess this Blog format doesn't accept the live mode.  I have no idea.  You better ask your Dad about that Miles.  :)   Next p...
