Miles - 09/03/2021

Miles ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate salmon, no whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes. 

This story is only partially about Miles, but I think you'll like it. Have you noticed in the pictures recently there is not a mattress cover on our mattress? It's been off for several weeks and today is the first day Cal has mentioned it. He asked, "Why did you take the mattress cover off?!?" I said, "Because you guys keep pulling it off." Cal said, "Me and Miles?!?" Me; "Yes you guys were the primary culprits." Cal said, "Well I want you to put it back on." Haha. "Of course you do, but that's not gonna happen." :)

First picture; I like how Miles holds up his finger to make a point. You can barely see Svea on the right, but Miles was telling her he was ready to be done. By the way I had Miles saying, "Hi Vay Vay" several times to Svea. (Three words!!) Second picture: The boys were apparently wanting to overhaul the chair, but I made sure they were lacking in tools. Haha.

Next picture: Well we took another walk this morning and it was wonderful!! Such a beautiful morning. We went to a different Park and of course Svea wanted to pull the wagon again. Except this was in gravel and slightly uphill so we did it together. Middle picture: This park only had a swing and a slide, but the kids didn't really care and we had a great outing. Svea was saying to me; "Do an underdog, do an underdog, do an underdog." And Cal took up the chant too. Haha. Last picture: And they got to talk to some other kids too. :) This little boy - within a month of same age as Cal - was sharing a digger he had brought with him. The kids spotted a City Worker running a leaf blower and had a mower as well. Cal said, "Look at the Blue tractor." Well I might not be great at colors, but I can read and I know John Deere tractors are green so I'm not falling for the "blue thing" Callahan! Haha.

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Yes that was sad for me too! She said, "Did they bury him up ?" "Put him into ashes?" "Or in the sea?" So precious. Firs...

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
