Miles - 11/04/2021

Miles ate blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of hamburger & sausage pizza, with the meats, olives, peppers, tomato sauce, and pineapple. No whole wheat pizza crust on the side and ate three servings of pineapple on the side.  

A Child Care ritual I don't think I've mentioned and this is a "long time" tradition!! Touching the kids with whatever we get out of the freezer. Haha. Nora was amazing with this; she'd pull up her shirt, bare her chest, grit her teeth, and not make a sound! Impressive!! Initially of course she'd squeal like crazy, but probably the last year she was here she'd just bear it!! Now every time I get an item from the freezer Miles immediately lifts his shirt!! Haha. Hilarious!!

Miles was here for an hour by himself and I'm not sure he even noticed!! Haha! I LOVE how engaged he gets with his activities!! He had four cups lined up and was experimenting with pouring from one cup to the next. Then he was very much into the legos. Third picture: He was running from the couch to the mattress and back again; yelling the entire time. Ha. 

Svea arrived while Miles was eating breakfast and right after breakfast they were listening to Alexa play the "Goldfish Song" again and doing the actions!! (Taking a nap at the bottom of the ocean.) Following picture: "Hey Gary! Look at Miles!" Yup, you've got him covered up again! :) Last picture: Svea and Miles doing some Art. Svea was looking for a particular marker, found it, and asked Miles; "Hey Miles, can I borrow this for a second." Haha. Then she was cutting out hearts and told Miles, "I'm sorry. The picture is ruined."

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes - LOVE those Candy Snaps - for breakfast. For lunch he ate bite of his chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of corn, and ate apple pieces.  Miles was pretty clingy to Daddy this morning and after Ryan left I told Miles; "Good job not crying." Miles said, "At Grandma Pam's?" Haha. Sure, at Grandma Pam's. Then he was telling me something about "puking" and I basically never figured it out except for this; "I got watermelon puke." Haha. Ok, whatever. First picture: Well did you notice Miles in this picture? Haha. He's laying on the couch, but I wanted to show you what he frequently does after arrival when he's a bit "bent out of shape." He wasn't crying or super upset, he just didn't like the transition. Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of candy grapes. For lunch he ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of his carrots, and three large servings of fruit salad. Random notes:  Miles asked, "Did the thunder come to your house?" Yup. "Was it loud?" Yup. "Why?" Haha. I was snuggling Nora on the couch and Miles was listening to what I said to Nora. "Nora, You've always been my girl! You're so very sweet." Miles said, "I miss my Mom." LOL!! That hit my funny bone and I laughed so hard. Miles started laughing when he saw my reaction. So cute and sweet. I love how kids frequently arrange their words! On our way to Cold Springs Playground Nora started taking about Big Willy again as we passed his house. "I can't believe he died." Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles.
