Miles ate two servings of French toast (casserole - new recipe) and one dried plum for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate two servings of peas, and two servings of strawberries.  I think you'll get a kick out of this: Nora asked, "What are we having for Lunch?"  I told her and her answer is always the same; " I knew it !! I was thinking of that in the car!!" Haha. She must have a heavy dose of ESP. I knew she loved this meal and of course she was " So Hungry !!": Three servings of pulled pork, three servings of whole wheat toast, two servings of peas, and two servings of strawberries. As you already know, my servings are big. :) During breakfast Cal was teaching Miles how to say, "Early Out Day." Cal; "Miles, say Early." Miles; "Early." Cal, "Say out." Miles, "Out." Cal, "Say day." Miles, "Day." Cal, "Early Out Day." Miles, "Out Day....

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three large servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate cauliflower, and a large serving of fruit salad. I took this first picture when I returned from my Wellness Checkup this morning. It's nice to have a quality  sub . :) (You've all heard me say this, but that never stops me from repeating something!! I tell Lauralea she's my Assistant and she makes it very clear she is my Consultant!! Haha.) Speaking of subbing - for my Birthday in May Lauralea is gifting me with a week of Child Care coverage so I can go to Louisiana. I am so happy and feel so Blessed to be able to go see my family there. I will be gone from May 7 - 14. Little Treasures will operate as usual except maybe no Blogs that week. It will be Lauralea's choice. Next picture: Svea was under the table and coaxing Miles to come in there with her. That actually didn't take much coaxing; a sim...

Miles ate blueberry bagel and three large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate his shrimp, ate a large serving of brown rice covered with berry juice, a few green beans, and ate mixed berries.  This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. I told Miles there was a crow outside the window and if he'd go stand quietly it may not fly. He stayed perfectly still for several minutes until Nicole came charging over making noise and the bird flew. Second picture: Miles and Cal doing what silly boys do. Miles was actually in this position first, but Cal claimed credit for the originality. Cal said, "I'm showing Miles how to do a belly flopper !!" Haha. Next picture: Miles was sitting here doing puzzles, minding his own business, and not pestering anyone!! Ha. So I guess maybe Svea thought she'd better pester him first. She started making silly faces at him and Miles was all over that! He stood up and did his best silly face right back at her. Last picture: ...

Miles ate half of bran cereal and ate all his raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken topped with avocado, ate whole wheat pita bread, two servings of cucumber, and ate his pears. We saw a young man this morning with an amazingly BIG afro-haircut. It was huge and I've seen some large large afro styles going back to the late 60's - 70's. This was a good one! I said, "WOW! Look at that haircut! Cal said, "You should get one of those!!" LOL!! That sure made me laugh.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and I took this first picture pretty early this morning. These binoculars have animal pictures in them, but it was still cute how the boys had them pointed at each other. :) Second picture: They went out to the Preschool Room to do some "Av-i-tiv-ity!!" (with 4 syllables) I love how they say that word. That's how Cal says it and Miles says it very similar to that. Miles was stacking beads on one of the rods; not following th...

Miles ate cream of wheat cereal and bites of his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, brown rice, broccoli, and three large servings of pineapple. Lunch time Cal made a random proclamation!! He said, "Because I am the funny sucker!!" Haha. Yup, he's heard me call him that a few times. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon right after Miles awoke from his nap. (Too cute to just delete!!) Svea was reading/singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" book to Miles. I was amused by her head-wrap and she said, "I'm pretending like I have a headache." Second picture: The boys were getting ready to do some jumping and also checking out some of the stuff Svea brought from home. (While Svea keeps a close eye on those sketchy boys! Ha.) Miles was most impressed with the stuffed snake. "Snake, Snake, Snake, Snake."  More fun pictures from this morning. Svea pretending to sleep. Which is fun except she demands quietness from Mil...

Miles ate waffle with syrup and three large servings of fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground turkey, bites of whole wheat tortilla, ate sweet potato, and three large servings of cherries.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. This was during their break time on the construction site! :) I think this serious discussion was about getting Unionized to deal with unfair labor practices!! (Sorry, just amusing myself again!) Second picture: Miles doing stiff body face-plants with Cal laughing and cheering him on!! Next picture: Wow, these block steps actually lasted for 1 entire day - yesterday and a couple hours this morning!! Then the kids were taking them apart and making "boats" again. Miles was making threatening gestures toward Cal's boat. Ha. Cal said, "Don't wreck my boat!!" Miles said, "Ok, I promise!" Lol. That's cute, BUT it carries little weight Miles!! :) Following picture: What a cute kid!! He was prete...

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate some Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices. He ate bites of whole wheat dinner roll, and ate a large serving of mangoes.  First picture: I helped the boys build some steps to the top of the legos table. (In front of the mirror.) That kept them busy for a long time this morning. It always amazes me how a slight change by doing something different can keep their interest for a long time. Second picture: I was sitting in the chair and Miles came over to tell me something. So I did a selfie. I love doing selfies of him. Ha. Next picture: "Do Play Dough! Do Play Dough!" Those were Miles' first words coming through the door this morning. I told him we'd wait until after breakfast so Svea could join us too. And sure enough as soon as breakfast was over he was ready for Play Dough. Svea and Cal were enjoying the Play Dough as well. Sve...

Miles ate two servings of toasted cinnamon/raisin English muffin and three large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, whole wheat toast, bites beets, and ate a large serving of applesauce. The kids spotted someone walking their dog and sprinted to the window to first pound on the window to get their attention and then wave. When they were done Svea said, "Gary! The good guy was here!!" So cute. Here's the back story: This man lives on Rainbow Drive and frequently walks his dog. It's obvious the man has some physical limits and always looks kind of sad so I've made a point of having the kids always greet him. (His daughter told me he really likes it.) It always brings a smile to his face. Thanks kids for bringing some cheer to his day. Side note: I was telling Lauralea about the "old guy" and Lauralea said, "I think he's younger than you." LOL!! He probably is. This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon...

Miles ate corn chex and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef topped with avocado, ate half of his whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and ate mandarin oranges. Cal and Miles were singing "They all rolled over" and it went something like this; "Two in bed and the little one said, roll over. They all rolled over and one fell out. There were two (still - ha) in the bed...." Svea finally had to intervene!! (After about the 15th time singing it that way!) She said, "CAL!! After two there's only one left in the bed!!" LOL!! So funny! Moments later she started offering corrections while Cal was singing the ABC song. That was going too far!! Cal bellowed, "I know this song!!" Hahaha.  I took this picture first thing this morning. Miles started playing with the legos trucks and kept playing with them until almost breakfast time. After breakfast they wanted to spend time with Play Dough and Miles pulled his apar...

Miles ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and three large servings of applesauce. Funny Stories: I said, "That's too loud Miles. Use your inside voice." So he goes to a low volume high-pitch squeaky voice. Haha. I love how he says, "Nicole." It sounds more like "Nickel." Haha. "Hi Nickel! Hi Nickel!" He'd just finished his lunch and was still in his highchair. He knew it was Nap Time, but he still asks the same question every day at this time; "Play for a few minutes? Play for a few minutes?" Nope, it's Nap Time. He said, "Play one hour?" LOL!! Oooo, that's a tough decision; "No." This first picture (Miles is not in the picture, but I thought you might like the picture regardless. Hee Hee.) is left over from yesterday afternoon and Avilene read at least 6 or more books to Svea; Nora sat for several and left occasionally, we...

Miles ate blueberry bagel and three large servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate Hamburger & Sausage Pizza with meat, pineapple, peppers, olives, and tomato sauce. No whole wheat pizza crust (which we serve on the side), and ate a large serving of pineapple. At the end of Lunch he started saying, "My bib is bugging me, my bib is bugging me." Ha. He manages to pull it up and get it on the highchair tray. I'm only giving him and Cal a bib now when the meal has potential to be overly messy. :) Funny note from this morning: Before Lunch Cal was being a little skunk - actually a big skunk in Svea's estimation - anyhow she was reading him the Riot Act and giving him a stern lecture with authority. My favorite part of the lecture was when she said, "Cal! You are acting just like Miles!!" LOL!! That was SO funny! And she was SO serious which made it even funnier. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Avi was making a "br...
