Miles' Journal

Miles ate blueberry waffle and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and half of apple slices.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon after Atley showed the boys how to "lead" their dump trucks around with a noodle. Ha. It's actually pretty cute in Live Mode.  Next picture - Miles was the first one here for probably 20 minutes this morning and I always love that. Ha. I think he does too!! Here he is sitting on my lap holding up his train engine for a selfie. :) Then Lauralea had to come out and get in on the love fest too!! I love this picture of him and Lauralea. Miles ate kix cereal and two servings of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate avocado on ground turkey, toasted whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomatoes and three large servings of cherries.  First picture; This is a "castle" that Atley built for everyone to use. Thanks Atley. I overheard this conversation: Cal said, "I'm not happy." Svea said, Then leave the castle." Cal responded immediately!! "I'm happy now." Haha. That was a quick turnaround. When the Queen of the Castle speaks you gotta listen!! :)  Next picture; The boys were doing some drawing with markers and then stickers. Miles enjoys both activities and works hard at them. Miles ate half of his oatmeal and a bite of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch he ate half  of his hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. He ate half of his whole wheat dinner roll and ate fruit cocktail.  I was telling Emily that Miles frequently says "Mom" for random questions. This morning he was saying, "Dad Dad Dad." I said, "Who's your Dad?" Miles said, "Mom." Haha. Cracked me up.  First picture: All 6 kids in one picture. I Love this group of children. Miles is playing with a few legos here, but I like the second picture. Same as yesterday, Miles was just biding his time until he can commandeer an abandoned project. Haha. (I just like saying that phrase and I got to use it two days in a row with the same person and the same toys!! Ha!) Next picture: Svea was just laying in the middle of the floor sucking her thumb. Cal sat down and soon Miles showed up and this is what happened next....

Miles ate French toast and most of dried plums for breakfast. He ate a bite of pulled pork, most of whole wheat toast, most of peas, and most of cantaloupe.    First picture: Nora and Atley had built this nice cozy area and surrounded it with some block towers. Miles and Cal came over and the girls welcomed the boys into the shelter. Ha. I had the perfect opportunity to encourage Nora to help brother say a word. Miles shrieked and Nora immediately covered him with a doll blanket. (See picture.) Talking to Nora; "You knew he wanted that blanket, right?" She said, "Yes." I told her; "So at the very least make him say please ." It made me remember how young Nora was when she was saying "please" and "thank you."  Next picture: All 5 kids in a small area!! Miles ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken topped with avocado, whole wheat pita bread, ate most of cucumbers, and ate pears. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the boys were busy all morning with the new goodies. Here they are playing with the ice cream cones. In the following two pictures Miles was trying on some dress-up boots. The first ones were a bit big, but he was trying hard to walk in them hanging on to the couch. The second pair he tried fit him much better. I was helping him put on which ever ones he brought to me! Next picture: Cal was taking off his socks, got one off, and then asked Miles for help with the other sock. And Miles was successful!! Thank you for helping your friend Miles. Last picture: Lauralea came through and commented on Avi's bright colored jacket (Lauralea called it a shirt and Avi set her straight) and the little boys immediately started pointing out their beautiful shirts as well. Ha.

Miles ate cream of wheat cereal and bites of dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate most of chicken, most of brown rice, ate broccoli, and pineapple.   First picture: What a lovely picture! Nothing beats sticking the nose of the fox up your own nose!! Miles looks a bit mesmerized! :) Second picture: I haven't posted a snuggling picture for several days and I didn't want anyone to think we'd abandoned that practice!! My snuggle buddy! Next picture: Miles fell on the sidewalk and I put an ice pack on one knee and he left it there for several minutes. I told the girls he'd leave it there because he has a mild temperament! Eden wasn't convinced; "What about when he screams?!?" Haha. I told her I thought that was learned behavior and she was like "whatever." Haha. I think he was liking this much attention with 6 kids gathered around him. :) Next picture: Atley is the pilot, Miles on one wing, and Eden in the back on a short "tail wing!"...

For lunch Miles ate ground turkey, bites of whole wheat tortillas, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries.  Even though Miles and Nora were only here 1.25 hours before Lunch I did manage to get several pictures to make their Blogs look kinda full! Haha. I took this first picture right after they arrived and everyone wanted to be on the blue balance beam and mattress at the same time. (It's probably a good thing Atley and Avi were not present at this moment! Ha!) I'm not sure why Cal was hunching up his shoulders, but it looks cute if you zoom in on him. He's preparing for a big jump!! Next picture: Miles interrupting Story Time to say; "Hey! What about this book!?!" Ha. Following picture: Here's that Red Fox of Eden's again!! Last picture: Eden was playing cars with Miles and Cal. They were running the cars across the blue balance beam and down the ramp! 

Miles ate two servings of French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of whole 30 chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and tomato sauce. He ate half of whole wheat dinner roll and ate mangoes.   This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. The girls had made this long domino several times and kept knocking it over until they got tired of it. Then they wandered off and left it so Cal, Miles, and I took advantage of it. I pushed it over and the boys were watching. You can see the yellow blocks are in the middle of falling over. :) Second picture: Miles likes "combing the carpet" and I've seen him doing this several times. He obviously likes something about it. :) The boys were doing some Art this morning - markers and then stickers. I took this picture because Miles was pointing at something he'd drawn and he said a sound that I heard as "spider." Haha! I said, "Did you draw a spider?" That got...

Miles ate most of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate some pork roast, no whole wheat toast, bites of beets, and ate applesauce. I asked Miles; "Did you see Grandpa and Grandma?" Affirmative head nod and "uh huh!" "Did you see your cousin?" Affirmative head nod and "uh huh!" "What's your cousin's name?" Miles said, "Nor Nor." Haha. So I asked him a second time; "What's your cousin's name?" Miles said, "Me." :) Svea asked Alexa for "Animal Workout" and Cal was playing along with her for a little bit. Miles started dinking around beside them, but wasn't in tune with the workout! (Actually nobody was!) Haha. Svea gets real dramatic and gesturing with her hands for extra emphasis and speaking with authority. Haha. "You guys are just too little for this." Miles ate oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate a couple bites of tilapia, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and applesauce.  This hit my funny bone and I hope no one is offended!! Our 2 Granddaughters are here and guess what the 11 year old asked me!! She saw Miles and said, "Does he still scream!?!" Haha. I said, "Why do you ask that!?" She said, "Because that's what he did the last time we saw him!!" However, she - Story - was totally enthralled with Miles and played with him the most while Eden played with Atley and Nora. He saw me peeking around the corner to take a picture. :) Second picture: And he was still dinking around in the corner when Story came upstairs. Miles ate blueberry bagel and ate three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate hamburger & sausage pizza with the meats, pineapple, peppers, olives, and tomato sauce. He ate a couple of bites of whole wheat pizza crust (we serve on the side) and ate three servings of pineapple on the side too.  First picture: The boys were playing with the food toys and I thought it was cute when they were both drinking some orange juice! :)  Pictures of Miles and Cal playing around and on the mattress this morning. Callahan was standing beside the chair and said, "I want to get down and play!" Haha. He was already "down" so I say, "Sounds good, start playing." Ha. So he got on the floor and started crawling around and Miles joined him. Later, they were back at the same area jumping, laughing, and being silly.
