Miles ate a large serving of cheerios and two servings of banana for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef topped with avocado, whole wheat pita bread, olives, and two large servings of peaches. First picture: We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Miles called these trucks/shape sorters "school buses." He spotted them and was excited, "School Bus!! School Bus!!" They can be whatever you want them to be Miles!! Second picture: Svea brought an umbrella to show the boys and share with them. Miles looked pretty cute protecting himself from the rain!! :)  Next picture; I LOVE it when Miles comes and sits by me, scoots close, and lays his head on my chest. It's just the sweetest thing and SO precious. And even on Toy Exchange Monday too! Wow, I felt privileged! We were sitting here and Cal said, "What you doing here Gary?" Haha. Oh I just thought I'd drop by to see how you kids are doing!! :) Next picture; Well Svea is back so things...

Miles ate half of brown rice and ate his raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, riced sweet potato/cauliflower, and three servings of peaches. At lunch Miles was dinking around and I told him he was goofy. I frequently say to one of the kids, "You're a goofy sucker." Well at Lunch Miles finished my sentence for me. I said, "You're goofy." Miles said, "Sucker." Haha. You're welcome. Yesterday after Snack Lauralea had come out to the kitchen and was then headed back to her office "to work." Miles thought he needed to go with her; "Me work, Me work, Me work!!" Haha. Hmmm...no. This first picture is basically the first thing the boys did after waving bye to Momma Emily at the window. (Just an FYI, the Blog pictures are generally in chronological order.) And the kids frequently go right to the thing they like the best or at least in their top five!! :) Cal and his Tinker To...

Miles ate two servings of toasted cinnamon/raisin English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, bites of peas, and ate applesauce. Lauralea covered for me - for about 30 minutes before breakfast - while I went to the Optometry office to pick up my glasses. I took this first picture before Mommy Emily came around the corner. First Miles spotted a high jet with a vapor trail. Next he saw another jet shortly after it left Missoula Airport. He was pointing saying, "Airplane! airplane! airplane!" Lauralea took the second picture and Miles was pointing at all the puzzle pieces saying, "Fire Truck! fire truck! fire truck!"  Right before Breakfast Miles was pointing at the basket of Easter eggs. "Hide eggs!? Hide eggs!? Hide eggs!?" I said, "Not right now; we're getting ready to eat breakfast." Callahan said, "Well that's gonna wreck the party!!" LOL! "Oh...

Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered with three large servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, saltines, half of his carrots, and ate his fruit salad. Right after breakfast Miles said, "Outside? Outside? Outside?" Cal said, "Well it's too foggy." Haha. "We'll go outside after Snack today Miles just like we did yesterday." So here is a picture from yesterday afternoon. The snow is pretty frozen underneath the new couple of inches we got. It makes for hard walking across the snow, but it was pretty entertaining to watch!! Especially when the boys also tried to push dump trucks across it as well. Miles gave up on that and just laid down on the path to the garage. :) Next picture: This picture from this morning reminds me of yesterday afternoon when the boys awoke from their naps and wanted to do some puzzles. As they were working Cal said, "Hey Gary! Miles did not yell at me when I was doing the puzzl...

Miles ate waffle and three large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and ate apple slices. It was nice to have Callahan back today and Miles was very happy too. It's very cute to watch when they've not seen each other for a few days. So happy and getting along splendidly!! And it lasted most of the morning. They were bouncing and jumping on the mattress and Cal asked Miles, "Can I hit you?" Miles said, "Yes." So Cal gave him a nice straight jab to the belly. I honestly hated to intervene, but it was about to escalate!!  LOL! "Remember Boys, we don't hit each other at Gary's Daycare." (At least Cal asked for permission. Ha.) This first picture made me laugh!! For any readers who may not know - Cal spent a few days quarantined in the basement with his Mommy who was also quarantining. Back to the picture: Cal said, "Hey Miles! You wanna go into the basement?!?...

Miles ate a large serving of kix cereal and a large serving of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground turkey topped with avocado, ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and three servings of cherries. I love how enthusiastic Miles is for food at meal time. He washes his hands at the kitchen sink so his ritual goes like this: He starts cheering for the food as he walks into the kitchen before he even knows what it is. "YAY!!!" Once he gets on the stool to wash he can now see the food on top of the counter and starts cheering again!! Haha. "YAY!!!" Miles is the only one here today; Svea is at Disney World and Cal will be back tomorrow. So I've kind of overloaded Miles' Blog with pictures!! This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon when Miles had finished sorting all the little colored bears. Good work Miles! I even confirmed this ("good work") with Lauralea and Svea so I know he got them all correct. Haha. Sti...

Miles ate oatmeal and three servings of applesauce for breakfast. For lunch he ate Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, spices, and tomato sauce. He ate whole wheat dinner roll, and fruit cocktail. Miles was randomly saying, "Mickey Mouse." "Pop the Weasel." LOL. Sitting in his highchair at Lunch. :) He got to pet "Vera" the Nelson family kitty this morning. Miles said, "Mickey Mouse." Molly looked at me for interpretation. Sorry, no idea. Haha.  As you already know Miles is obsessed with "Firetrucks" and "School Buses." Thankfully three of the puzzles I have in this toy exchange have both of those. Here, try this puzzle. Nope. If it doesn't have one or both of those items, forget it!! Haha. Well you lucked out Miles. Peter is on his way to Disney World so no toy and puzzle exchange this weekend. Haha!! One more week of puzzle bliss. Lauralea covered for me when I had an eye appointment this week an...

Miles ate three servings of French toast (a new French toast casserole) and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork, most of whole wheat toast, ate peas, and two servings of mandarin oranges. First picture: Svea frequently brings a bag of goodies from home and Miles was pretty excited to see what she had today! When she started pouring it out he said, " WHOA !!" :) Second picture: As soon as Miles was done looking at the goodies he said, "Me Doll House! Me Doll House! Me Doll House!" Svea said, "I will join you." Oh, that was sweet Svea. This picture was taken a few minutes later because the first thing Mile did was head for the Doll House Door Bell. :) Next two pictures: Svea asked for the play dough and Miles was all over that too! "Me Play Dough!? Me Play Dough!?" :) Lauralea couldn't believe how long Miles and Svea worked with the play dough. She came out of her office and said, "Wow, they've been doing that f...

Miles ate whole wheat toast and three servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of spaghetti noodles, ate cauliflower, and fruit salad.  Svea was encouraging (maybe somewhat demanding - ha) Miles to run in circles on the mattress while Svea cheered him on! She was yelling, "Kick the ball quick! Kick the ball quick!" Then she added, "You're the Vikings (Dad's Team) and I'm the Unicorn!" LOL First picture: I sent a video of Svea and Miles playing in their "cave" and they were laughing wildly about "pooping and peeing." They wanted to watch the video about 87 times. Then I heard Svea telling Miles a "joke." "What happens when the chick crosses the road?" Miles; No answer. Svea; "It poops." Hilarious laughter! Silly kids. Next two pictures: Svea was whispering to Miles about "trophies." Then I heard her assuring him that the trophie...

Miles ate blueberry bagel and three large servings of grapes (and he wanted more) for breakfast. They were large grapes and I cut them in half for him. Initially he didn't want me to cut them. I told him, "these grapes are huge " and "I'm cutting them so you don't choke." So then he kept saying, "more huge, more huge, more huge!!" Haha. Cracks me up. For lunch he ate shrimp, brown rice covered with berry juice, ate broccoli, and three servings of mixed berries.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Avi and Miles were working at the legos table for a LONG time while Svea and Nora were at the Doll House. Avi is so kind to Miles and loves him a lot. See the steps she'd built on her house in the lower left of the picture? Two or three times Miles was threatening to tear those apart. How did Avi handle it? She built the thing he is holding and told him; "tear it apart." Well done Avilene.  This next picture was...

Miles ate bran cereal and most of his raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of his chicken topped with avocado, bite of whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumbers, and had a bite of pears.  It was fun to have Nora here this morning. The Nelson girls didn't arrive until breakfast so Nora snuggled with me for slightly more than 30 minutes! :) It was fun and she was saying funny things. Miles was playing with the ice cream cones and counting numbers. I told Nora, "He's always counting." Nora said, "Yes, he can count to 90." Haha. She changed it to; "Maybe 19." :) Then she told me about sledding and "crashing with Momma landing on top of me." Haha. If that was a true story I'll bet Nora howled like her life was over. :) Oh yes, one other thing she told me; "Miles is SO annoying." :) First picture: This is actually a challenging puzzle for Miles because he has to match the front of the cars to the back of the correct car. He di...
