Miles ate three large servings of French toast covered and mixed with strawberries for breakfast. He and Cal love it that way! For Lunch he ate everything; Ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. Nora ate a LOT too. The Hansen kids are back; I better kill the fattened beef!! :) They are great eaters. Everyone was super happy to see the Hansen kids back today. Atley and Nora immediately were jabbering and laughing and ready to play! When the kids were at the window waiting to wave bye to Daddy Ryan and Daddy Colin, Atley was in "Making Nora Laugh Mode!" Haha. She was banging her forehead on the window just so Nora would laugh. Goofy kid! I've seen that a few times!! :) First Picture: This is the first thing Miles and Callahan did; play one of their favorite games. They pretend it's a "door" and knock on it and peek around at each other. Then they change positions becasue you can only knock on one side! Ha. (Miles is on the "knocki...

Miles ate French toast and ate most of his dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate most of his pulled pork, bite of whole wheat toast, most of his peas, and ate mixed fruit; mangos and strawberries. Just a reminder for everyone and also for any Blog readers who may not be aware of Christmas closure plans. Little Treasures will be closed tomorrow, Friday the 17th and reopen on Monday December 27th. So the next Blog will be that Monday; 27th. So Merry Christmas everyone and Louisiana here we come!! First picture: Svea was working on this puzzle and Miles was at the gate saying, "Watch Vay Vay, watch Vay Vay...." Sure you can do that!! And he was totally content with watching her work on the puzzle. Second picture: This is a super cute picture if you zoom in on his face. Adorable. You can see the impish expression because he was getting ready to put the "toast" up to his mouth and he knows I want him to "pretend" rather than sticking it in his mouth. :) N...

Miles ate half of his toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate cauliflower, and fruit salad. So Cal and Miles were at the window waving bye to Daddy Ryan. It's so funny because Parents see them waving, but have no idea what the kids are saying. Sometimes it's about dogs, birds, moon, sun, snow, rain, people, cars, trucks, fighting for position, etc, etc... Today Cal was perplexed as Ryan drove around the corner in "Emily's Car." Cal said, "He took the Mom's car. He have to take the truck." Hahaha. Here's some pictures of the boy's play before breakfast and before Svea arrived. First picture: Cal said, "We're lining up the cars Gary." And they were both doing it with total cooperation. Have they turned over a new leaf? Haha. (Hint: The answer is No.) Second picture: They packed the food over to the balance beam and lined it up. (This has Sve...

Miles ate blueberry bagel and two large servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice covered with two servings of mixed berries and the juice, and he ate his broccoli.  First picture: Cal and Miles snuggled on my lap for the longest time this morning. From 8:10 - 8:50 when Svea arrived; and neither of them got down during that time!! We rocked in the chair and listened to Christmas songs and watched people go by out the window. It was pretty awesome and I think all 3 of us enjoyed it. I know I did!! :) A school bus went by and of course Miles called it a "beep beep." Cal said, "School Bus" and so Miles called it a "bus." First time I've heard him do that. In the picture they were looking at Mickey Mouse that's on my shirt. Miles kept calling it something that sounded more like "meow" to me. :) Second picture: I have no idea what Super Hero hat costume Cal is wearing here! Haha. I know the gloves ar...

Miles ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of chicken covered with two servings of avocado, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumber, and ate pears.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and playing with the food toys was the first thing on Miles' agenda. In the first picture he said, "Honey, honey." And that was a great guess! I told him it was "syrup" and he called it "syrup" from then on. I think that is one of his strengths; he hears it one time, maybe two and he's got it!! I can think of some exceptions, but generally that's the case! Next picture: He brought be this little stuffed birdie. I told him to see if he could find the birdie's Mommy somewhere on the mattress with all the stuffed critters. (I didn't tell him the Mommy looked exactly the same, but much bigger.) I just wanted to see what he'd do. He went and held up one; "No sorry Buddy, that fish is not the b...

Miles ate cream of wheat cereal and dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate bites of chicken, ate brown rice, half of broccoli, and ate a large serving of pineapple. I was helping Miles finish up his cereal and he kept saying the same thing again and again and again......and I had no clue what he was saying. I said, "Sorry, but I don't understand. And you don't need to just keep saying the same thing over and over. He said, "Oh." Then he said, "Over and over. Over and over. Over and over." LOL. Well at least it was something different and I knew what he was saying this time!! :) Thought you might enjoy a quote from Avi and Nora during snack yesterday. They were talking about how much older they are than Svea. "When Svea is in Kindergarten we will be in 2nd grade." They went through several grades and then ended with this doozy!! Avi said, "When me and Nora are grown-up Svea will be a teenager." Ha. Maybe by the time you're ...

Miles ate bites of his waffle serving and ate strawberry/mango for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground turkey, bite or two of whole wheat tortillas, ate sweet potatoes, and two servings of cherries.  This is about all three of the kids: I love how Svea expresses herself. We were doing books and initially she didn't want to sing. (Which was just fine!) She said, "I wanna suck; I don't wanna sing!" LOL! Then Miles started singing with me and well let's just say she forgot all about her thumb!!  Svea said, "Gary!! Cal  said  RUDE to Miles!" (Ha.) Cal denied that one; "No I didn't!" Svea; "Yes you did! I heard you!!" Cal was most likely correct; he probably acted rude;  not  saying rude. Ha.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and the boys were having fun dinking around - laughing and giggling - in the swivel/rocker. All of a sudden Cal frantically says, "don't bite me Miles!!" Uhhh, I was watching t...

The boys like to mix their strawberries and French toast together and this morning Svea joined them! Miles ate two large servings of French toast and strawberries. For lunch he ate all of his serving of Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce, sweet potatoes, and spices. He ate bites of his whole wheat dinner roll and ate mango/pineapple.  First picture: I told Lauralea that Miles' pants were wet in the butt when he arrived. So Miles was showing Lauralea how it happened! Haha. I sit down just like this!! Speaking of Lauralea, before Momma Emily and Nora arrived yesterday she was sitting in the Daycare Room in the chair playing with Miles. So this morning he tried to talk her into getting back in that chair and picking up where they left off. Ha.  Next picture; Miles asked Svea to hook his tractor up to his trailer. I got this picture at the very end of her helping him and he's ready to take off. I always encourage them to ask their peers for help and Svea lov...

Miles ate whole wheat English muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate a bite of pork roast, bites of whole wheat toast, ate half of his beets, and ate applesauce. Lauralea was in a hurry for an appointment and told the kids she'd give them a "hug" when she got "back." She wasn't gone too long and Miles remembered the exact words. She walked in and he said, "back, hug. back, hug." Flippin' little genius. First picture: This was shortly after arrival and Miles and Cal were doing some coloring.  Next picture: Cal was standing on the three blocks and Miles was attempting to do the same with four blocks. Hmmm..no that didn't work! Ha. Then Cal said to Miles, "How about we have a ready-set-go contest!?" Haha. This picture basically represents the results of the contest!! Goofy boys. I was laughing so stinking hard. Great entertainment. The following picture represents a more calm moment of the morning activit...

Miles ate corn chex cereal and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef topped with avocado, ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges. First picture - Svea had the boys examining her painted fingernails and painted toenails. As you can see they were interested! Second picture; The boys were having fun playing in the chair again and Cal stood up about the same time I took the picture. Considering this chair rocks AND swivels I told him that was probably not too safe. :) Next picture; I asked Lauralea to take this picture and here's what it's all about. Friday evening I got a front tooth extracted and replaced with a temporary tooth and partial plate. So this is a "Show & Tell" session about my tooth. I don't think anyone was too traumatized - except Cal does look to be in pain while watching the process. :) Svea giggled when she saw the gap in my mouth.  Next picture: The boys were bu...

Miles ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.  I think it's cute how Miles will frequently say the last word of a verse in a song, the last word of the sentence in a book he's familiar with, and today he even finished the last word of two of my sentences! Just like Lauralea!! Hahaha. Example: He does this thing when I'm changing his diaper and says, "Owww!" at the exact same spot when I'm pulling his pants down. And you know me, I always say, "Oh you're fine!!" Haha. So this morning he said, "Owww" and then immediately said, "Fine, fine." I love it. Very early in a baby's life they will "check in" (that's what Lauralea and I have always called it)  with their Caregiver many times during the day. And then continue to do that as they get older; although the frequency gradually gets less and less. Miles will be playing - d...

Miles ate blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate a large serving of hamburger & sausage pizza with meat, olives, pineapple, peppers, and tomato sauce. He ate bites of whole wheat pizza crust on the side and ate pineapple on the side.  Cal and Miles were doing a "new thing" (Old, but new to them. Ha.) running to the window to wave bye at Mommy Emily. One or both of them are usually saying, "My Mom, My Mom, My Mom." (It rarely happens with Daddy Colin because Cal is usually the first one here.) So thanks to Cal this morning running to the window he was saying, "I win, I win, I win." And of course Miles was echoing that; "I win, I win, I win." Ha. (It's all age appropriate.) First picture: Miles at work with the legos. Here's what you don't see or hear: Cal is in the cozy corner surrounded by all the stuffed animals and saying to Miles; "My stuffed animals. My stuffed animals." Haha. L...
